Our Workforce

Today, Owens Corning is a diverse community of dedicated and highly talented professionals; also, nearly 50 percent of our employees live and work outside of the United States. Owens Corning is continuously focused on attracting diverse talent. As part of this effort, in the U.S. we have partnered with the following national associations and conferences to identify top talent for our company.

Conferences

  • Diversity Leadership Conference: Owens Corning organizes a periodic Diversity Leadership Conference to provide talented college men and women the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and understanding of leadership and corporate values through various workshops and exercises.
  • Out & Equal Conference: Owens Corning employees participate in the annual Out & Equal conference which provides attendees information and resources they need to become a workplace committed to equality with regards to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered individuals.

Grassroots Networking

An important part of the inclusive environment within Owens Corning is a grassroots network of Diversity Councils and Resource Groups. The purpose of these groups are to promote a diverse and inclusive work environment that provide a sustainable, competitive advantage through our people.

Each Resource Group has an Executive sponsor who serves as a champion and spokesperson for the group.
